Shingles clear tape serves only one purpose and that is to separate the shingles while they are still in the package so that they will not stick to each other.
Once the shingles are removed from its original packaging and installed on your roof these tapes serve no purpose whatsoever.
The shingle sealant which is responsible for bonding the shingles together once they are positioned on the roof is located somewhere else on the shingle itself and as the shingle gets heated by the sun the shingle sealant will start bonding the shingles together according to the way they are positioned.
To reiterate once more that that shingles clear tape that you might see on your shingles do not serve any purpose once the shingles are installed on the rooftop.
They are only there to prevent the shingles from sticking together while still in the packaging.
Also it is not necessary for you to remove that shingles clear tape as it is designed to dissolve into the asphalt during the course of time.
