Construction - Getting Organized In 5 Easy Steps

Organizing Construction: So you are planning a construction project, well the first thing you need to do is get organized, make a list of all the things that will be required to have the project handled in a smooth organized fashion.

Here are some tips to help you get the project done in a timely, professional and organized fashion.

. Make a list of each phase of the work that has to be done such as architectural blue prints drawings, purchasing of materials and expected delivery dates, installation of manufacturing equipment, storage facility for materials, hiring of contractors and subcontractors, and project staffing, getting final plans stamped, restrictions regulations regarding building of property within the proposed site.

. Different stages of construction and proposed starting dates of each phase and their duration time of expected completion. Itemize each stage of the project with its proposed start date and time expected to complete each project. This should include an in-depth detail of the general policies and procedures that are to be followed during each phase of a project.

. Prepare an itemized of listing of the cost to be spent on each phase of the project, include items such as labor, staff compensation, benefits, supplies, travel, construction materials, manufacturing equipment, cost of installation, architectural fees, engineering fees, contractor and sub-contractor fees, and any other cost that are relevant to the project.

. Make a detailed listing of the cost for professional staff that will be required to oversee each phase of the project, including their duties and responsibilities. Devise a police that will govern each of these individual staff over the entire project.

. Devise general policies with regard to the procedures that are to be followed for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the course of the project, and outline all the details as this will ensure a more organized project planning.
