Kitchen Counter Stools

Kitchen Counter Stools: The kitchen today is not only a place to find food. Today's kitchen is actually a place to meet the rest of the family and spend quality time together since the average family lives a very fast paced life hence the need for kitchen counter stools.

So it's really no wonder why things like kitchen islands that serve as dining tables and kitchen counter stools are common pieces of furniture in today's kitchen.

Kitchen counter stools are, in fact, so popular in today's kitchen that there are many different types, styles and designs on the market to suit any type, style and design of kitchen décor.

Perhaps the most common type of kitchen counter stool seen today is the bar room high stool.

It's usually a simple wooden design, with tall legs so that it not only fits nicely around the counter area, but is tall enough to reach the counter area for dining purposes.

These bar stools come in many different variations, such as the swivel type and stools with adjustable seat heights and backless stools.

They also come in a variety of colours and cushion patterns as well as backing designs to fit the aesthetic and comfort needs of different people. Though, it must be said, that these bar stools are still very rustic and bar-looking in design.

In the contemporary kitchen another relatively common type of counter stool has been the artist's stool.

Artist (or drafting) stools are built to accommodate painters, sculptors, and the like while they work. Unlike bar or counter stools, these stools are not designed to be fully seated in, but rather for a kind of 'sit-standing,' which is why they are perfect for those who make very hurried meals or never have time to actually sit.

Moreover, the sleek modern design of these artists' stools gives contemporary kitchens a little extra sass. And lastly another popular style of kitchen counter stool is the ever versatile fold-in stool.

This is particularly useful for kitchen without a lot of space to spare and the best part is that they can be moved around the kitchen with relative ease.

Again, these fold-in kitchen counter stools come in all colours, designs and styles and a set can be found to match any kitchen décor so you are not limited to one set style.

And perhaps this is the best quality about all kitchen counter stools; irrespective of overall design, these stools can be specially made to fit you kitchen décor and overall kitchen needs.
