Here are some basic instructions on how to install your new fireplace.
Wipe cleanly the surface area of the fireplace to get rid of any dust build up. In the middle of the fireplace install the burner, then do a check to ensure that in the middle you have the desired flame pattern and make sure that it is moving upward and not flapping on the wall.
Go ahead and turn on the gas to do this test. Once you have found the burner location full a bit of crushed lava rock and keep it to about three to four inches away from the fireplace's front.
Do not let the sand or lava show through the front of the burner. Next lift the burner all the way to the top and do another test to make sure that the patter is still the same.
Next cover using sand the lava rock and the burner, and remove any spilled sand then relight it again, to check that the pattern of the flame is still the same.
Starting from the front and moving up to the back, pour on to the sand base and the lava rock the glass.
When you have finished pouring the glass you should make sure that the automatic starter is resting just above the glass so that it will work properly.
