Bed Bath and Beyond - A Respectable Company 

Bed Bath and Beyond inc., is a Company with chains of retail stores operating all over the globe under the names of Bed Bath and Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops and Harmon.

These chains of stores sell almost any imaginable item you can think of from Bed furnishings to Bathroom furnishings, and the Beyond part of the stores means just that, the items that they sell are way beyond your imagination, you will be surprised at some of the items that these stores carry, such as food, health and beauty care products, giftware and lot lots more.

Their principal merchandise was domestic merchandise and household furnishings. History of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. This Company was founded in 1971 by Leonard Feinstein and Warren Eisenberg, who are incidentally the Co-Chairmen of the Company.

1971 - This Company opened it's doors with two stores and basically sold bed linens and bathroom accessories.

1985 - The introduction of it's first store carrying a full line of domestics merchandise and home furnishings.

1987- The Company started using the name Bed Bath & Beyond so as to promote it's full line of domestics merchandise and home furnishings, by it's stores and also as a way of setting their store apart from other conventional specialty retail stores, by exclusively offering only domestics merchandise or home furnishings.

March 2002- the Company acquired Harmon a retailer of health and beauty products and operating 27 stores in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

June 2003 - The Company purchased CTS (Christmas Tree Shops) a retailer of giftware and household items, operating 23 stores, situated in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York Connecticut and Rhode Island, was a retailer for giftware and household items.

This Company is very focused of pleasing it's customers by providing them with quality merchandise at very low prices that even the simplest man will be able to afford. The Company is constantly monitoring the prices of it's competitors to ensure that they are offering their merchandise at the best price on the market, in order to build a reputation for themselves to be knows as the cheapest store of it's kind.

They are determined to maintain a wide variety of merchandise which they can presented is such a manner that it will be most convenient to their customers thereby ensuring customer satisfaction guaranteed.

This Company sells a wide variety of assorted merchandise with their principal merchandise being domestics merchandise and home furnishing as well as food, giftware and health and beauty care items. Some of the domestic merchandise categories include bed linens and other similar items, bath items and kitchen textiles.

Their home furnishings category consist of items such as kitchen and tabletop items, fin tabletop, basic house wares and many other general home furnishings. These stores are constantly updating their merchandise to suit the ever changing trends, so they are right on top when it comes to modern styles.

Because this store is very customer oriented most of their stores are opened seven days a week in order to accommodate the customers to shop at time that are suitable to them. The Company is also very focused on ensuring that shopping at their stores is as pleasant and convenient as possible. Merchandise is purchased from approximately 4,300 suppliers, with the majority of them being right here in the United States.

A huge percentage of these merchandise are displayed on the sales floor of these stores at all times, and what items are not displayed is usually stored in a warehouse. The Company has approximately 33,000 employees in full and part time positions, and believes in good public relations with it's employees because when you have a satisfied employee you will definitely get more work productivity.
